Established in April 2008, the Research Institute for Information Law & Policy has been active for 15 years. In the meantime, we have published 67 issues of "Intellectual Property Law and Policy Journal", and we are proud that it has been recognized as a high-quality academic journal on intellectual property law in Japan.
The Institute is not funded by the university's own budget and relies on external funds for its activities. However, in recent years, we have been facing a tough time for acquiring external funds and continuing our activities as before.
For this reason, from the next issue (Vol. 68) onwards, we will discontinue the paper version of "Intellectual Property Law and Policy Journal" and publish it online only. We apologize to all of you who have been reading the paper version, but please use the online publication.
